Updates All Around!

Hello all! I do apologize. I have been laxing on my sewing duties lately. It’s all good problems to have though, lots of commissions to do, lots of art to create. Usually what I like to do is work four 10 hour days: Monday, Tuesday, then Thursday, Friday and reserve Wednesdays for sewing days. However, that just seems to be tougher and tougher these days.

Blue Senate Gown dress update

So all I managed to do this week was add the stripes to the front apron with 3/8″ black velvet ribbon. I thought 3/8″ would be sufficient. But I think I probably should have gone to 1/4″. But I can’t really go back now. There was no navy blue velvet trim out there that was 1/4″ anyways, so I don’t feel ‘too’ bad about it. But as you can see, it is done. You can’t really tell too much that the ribbon is black instead of navy blue either so it’s not the end of the world.

I finished the beading on the top as you can see as well 🙂 I’m pretty proud of that. Now All I have to do is bead the ribbons and we are golden!

Furthermore, I also wanted to share with you some of the art I’m working on as well.

I have a lot of plans for the coming future. One of which is starting a youtube channel this month. So hopefully I can keep on time with that as well.

Working for yourself is quite challenging. I keep getting emails from people asking me “how I made it as an artist” and to all honesty, I haven’t made it yet. It’s very hard to make it. There are hurdles that every artist faces. It shows true colors when an artist overcomes hardships. So always keep your chin up 🙂

This weekend will be a busy one. I’m helping out at my local comic shop on saturday for Free Comic Book day and then sunday is mothers day! Then the best part is that tonight is CIVIL WAR! I’m so stoked!

Alrighty, I’ll leave everyone for now with promises doing more in the future. I really want to get this gown done but the end of next month so that I can start on my next one. Don’t want to lose momentum!

Hope you all have a great day!
